The Medelserhütte SAC is a classic alpine stage hut located high above the Val Medel (Lucmagn), close to the Lukmanier Pass, in the Canton of Graubünden. Positioned on an important north–south alpine axis, it serves primarily as a base for alpine hiking, long-distance traverses, and ski mountaineering, rather than as a technical climbing hut. Its character is functional, quiet, and strongly oriented toward route continuity.

The Capanna Motterascio CAS is a modern alpine hut located above the Lukmanier Pass, close to the Ticino–Graubünden border. Thanks to its strategic position and relatively straightforward access, it serves primarily as a stage hut for alpine hikers and long-distance trekkers, linking north–south routes across the central Alps rather than acting as a technical mountaineering base.

The Capanna Bovarina is a traditional mountain hut located on open alpine pastures above the Valle di Blenio, close to the Lukmanier Pass. With wide views, gentle terrain, and historic transalpine context, it serves primarily as an accessible hiking destination and stage hut for classic Ticino routes and north–south crossings.
