Panixerpasshütte – Remote Stage Hut & Historic Alpine Crossing

The Panixerpasshütte is a remote mountain hut located at the historic Panixer Pass, on the border between the Glarus Alps and Graubünden. Closely associated with one of Switzerland’s most famous winter crossings—General Suvorov’s army in 1799—the hut functions today as a stage hut for experienced alpine hikers undertaking long, committing traverses.
