Route Description
The route begins near the base of the Grignetta’s south-eastern slope, with a short and well-marked approach trail that leads to the first metal cables and ladders. The opening metres are steep and immediately vertical, giving a clear sense of the character of the entire climb.
The middle section is the heart of Gamma 2. Here, climbers navigate exposed walls, traverse narrow ribs of limestone and rise through small chimneys equipped with rungs. The route flows naturally upward, alternating between laddered segments and rock steps that require balanced movement and confident footing. The exposure intensifies as the line follows airy ridges with Lake Como far below.
The final stretch approaches the summit area of the Grignetta.
